At Fairway Infant School, all aspects of our curriculum are intended to be inspiring, immersive, inclusive and interconnected. We place significant emphasis on the importance of creativity and imagination. At Fairway, art is a catalyst which inspires children to explore their own individuality and natural curiosity. Our intent is to provide an art curriculum that inspires, includes and represents all learners and ensures that all children enjoy, participate and develop their skills and knowledge during all activities. Art across the curriculum serves as an invaluable tool for all children to demonstrate and communicate their ideas, thoughts and feelings. It enables all children to explore and express themselves effectively. We intend to teach a skills-based art curriculum with regular opportunities for children to be inspired by the work of famous artists, designers and sculptors.
