At Fairway, our art curriculum is designed to stimulate creativity, imagination and individuality by providing children with a wide range of opportunities to experience different media (including natural objects), techniques and inspiration from the work of a diverse range of artists. Children are encouraged to explore their own ideas and identity and to develop their work by being reflective and with the support and feedback of their peers and teachers. The curriculum is planned to ensure progression of skills and that the children take part in a wide range of experiences during their time at Fairway. Strong cross curricular links are made to allow the children to respond to their learning in other subjects, in a creative and artistic way.
