Background Information about the funding
The government is providing additional funding to improve the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. The premium is designed to help children get an active start in life, supporting primary schools to improve the quality of their PE, physical activity/literacy, and sport provision so that pupils experience the benefits of regular exercise.
This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.
At Fairway infant School, we believe PE and sport plays an important role in making our vision statement a reality for every pupil, with the potential to change young people's lives for the better. We are committed to using this resource in developing high-quality PE lessons, alongside greater opportunities for sporting competitions and clubs for all of our young people.
